Homecoming Pastor
Dr. Ken Kirk, 60 yrs old, was born in Jackson, MS. Called to the ministry February 10, 1976. He is married to Pamela Kirk and they have three grandchildren. Dr. Ken has been the pastor of St. Benard Baptist Church 1979-1982, New Prospect Baptist Church 1982-1986, North McComb Baptist Church 1986-1993, and Heucks Retreat Baptist Church 1995..2003. He is currently the Chaplin at Kings Daughters Medical Center since Feb. 2007.

Music Director
Mrs. Ruth Owens is a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. She is married to Thad O. Owens, Sr. and they live in the Heucks Retreat community. She has two children, Jason and his wife Sarah, and Carrene and her husband Blake. She has six grandchildren five stepchildren, nine step grandchildren and fourteen great grand­children. Mrs. Ruth served as music director at New Prospect October 1970- June 1972 and September 1976-November 1978. She has many fond memories of her childhood and youth at New Prospect. So many of the people, most of them now gone, touched her life. She is thankful for the places of service New Prospect gave her.

Organist

Carrene Oliver Scafiedel is the daughter of Ruth Oliver Owens and the late T.A. Oliver and she is also the sister of Jason Oliver. She grew up at New Prospect and later became our church organist. She is married to Blake Scafiedel. Carrene spends her time taking care of family, home schooling her children, and teaching piano.  

Pianist
Helen Nunnery is married to Mr. Robert Nunnery and they reside in the Arlington community. Helen is an active member of Arlington Baptist Church where she is the assistant pianist. She is the mother of Lola Dixon, Brenda Horton, Cindy Rushing, Carol Roberts and Molly Mayer and the stepmother of Shonna Lofton and Wayne Nunnery. Helen and Robert have 19 grandchildren and four great -grandchildren.
